You have filled a hole in my heart with this release and it feels warm and gooey (I presume that is the reverb). This is by far and away (in my opinion) one of the top releases of easily this year, but I suppose until your previous album release since, 2006? I was worried the old Mr. Shields trick was being played and I'd be on my deathbed when hype for this would begin, only to flatline the moment I could hear the sweet opening track. Every track here is a banger. Charlie Mayer
Once again, all songs on this EP could be hit singles for almost any other band! That alone shows the talent and musical creativity Nick has in his head, and he somehow manages to arrange his ideas to form perfect melodies within the beautiful songs! One day there needs to be a 99MMFTS gatefold 2XLP or 3XLP album of the songs Nick chooses, and I would die a happy man! Charlie Mayer
Going all the way back to debut on BC; Sweden's Star Horse set themselves apart from the slew of dream-pop wannabees with their killer hooks and perfect harmonies.
"Kiss..." is single worthy; but Marybelle will get the "Gazers" attention with its hypnotic pace and phased guitars churning up a storm of sound.
Name check genre founders for this track alone.
Completes my Star Horse Collection.
